By Creative Hats Press
At Creative Hats Press, we love introducing our writing community to authors who dare to imagine worlds just beneath the surface of our own. This month, we’re delighted to welcome British urban fantasy author Jay Neill for a special guest speaker online Q&A on Wednesday 17th June at 6.45pm.
Jay is the author of the acclaimed urban fantasy novels The Terminus of All Things and Curious Physiologies, and has quickly built a reputation for creating imaginative stories that blend the familiar with the fantastical.
After spending more than twenty-five years working in technology and product leadership, Jay made the leap into fiction writing to pursue his passion for world-building and storytelling. His work explores what happens when the ordinary collides with the extraordinary, creating hidden worlds that exist just beyond the edges of everyday life.
His debut novel, The Terminus of All Things, introduces readers to Endland – a bizarre and fascinating realm built entirely from humanity’s discarded ideas, obsolete technology and forgotten possessions. Part urban fantasy, part portal adventure, the novel asks intriguing questions about what we leave behind and whether anything is ever truly lost.
More recently, Jay launched Curious Physiologies, the first book in his exciting new LineFolk of London series. Set beneath the streets of London, the series imagines a secret society of mythical creatures living alongside us, hidden within the labyrinth of the London Underground. Combining folklore, mystery, humour and inventive world-building, the series has already attracted enthusiastic reviews from fantasy readers.
We are incredibly grateful to Jay for sharing his time and experience with our writing community, and we look forward to welcoming him on Wednesday 17th June at 6.45pm.
