We are delighted to invite you to a special literary event hosted by North Hertfordshire College, showcasing the incredible talents of our adult creative writing evening groups. Mark your calendars for an evening filled with creativity, inspiration, and community spirit on Wednesday, 12th June, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
What to Expect
This literary showcase is a celebration of the hard work and dedication of our adult learners who have poured their hearts into their writing. You’ll have the opportunity to speak with writers from a variety of genres, ranging from poignant memoirs to imaginative fiction. It’s a wonderful chance to experience first hand the diverse voices and stories that have emerged from our creative writing sessions.
Launch of the Charity Book Project: Word Up
A highlight of the evening will be the launch of our latest writing group’s charity book project, Word Up. This collection of stories, essays, and poems is a testament to the collaborative spirit and creative energy of our writers. More importantly, Word Up has been written and published to support a cause close to our hearts: raising money for the local Hertfordshire homeless charity, Feed Up Warm Up.
Feed Up Warm Up provides crucial support to those experiencing homelessness in our community, offering food, warmth, and vital resources to help individuals get back on their feet. All proceeds from the digital sales of Word Up and all profits from physical sales will go directly to this wonderful charity, making a meaningful impact on the lives of many.

How to Participate
Admission to the event is free. We will be encouraging attendees to purchase a copy of Word Up to support Feed Up Warm Up. Copies will be available for sale at the event, online and donations to the charity are also very welcome via our justgiving page – more details will follow along with the book release in a few days time.
