Creative Hats Press author Shelbe Moonbeam will be signing copies of her new book today, Sunday 27 September, from 2.30pm–3.30pm at Bragbury End Coffee Shop in Stevenage.
Come along, meet Shelbe, have your copy signed and settle down with a coffee while you’re there.
A short read with a bit more heat, Shelbe’s book is part of our growing collection of shorter reads at Creative Hats Press: books designed for people who want a complete reading experience without committing to several hundred pages first. It’s also one of the books helping us develop our new dyslexia-friendly approach to book design. And we think that matters particularly with adult fiction. Accessible publishing shouldn’t be confined to children’s books, educational texts or books tackling serious subjects. Dyslexic adults should have the same choice as everybody else. Romance. Sex. Humour. Desire. Messy relationships. Spicy stories. All of it.
Why should a book become harder to access just because the contents are getting hotter? We’re looking at choices including clearer typography, spacing, manageable sections and uncluttered page design, while keeping the book looking and feeling like something written for adults.

Pop in, grab a drink, meet Shelbe and pick up a signed copy. Because sometimes you don’t need a 500-page epic. Sometimes you need a coffee, a short book and something considerably less innocent to read when you get home.
